“The Masque of the Red Death” is based on a short story of the same name by Edgar Allan Poe. It follows the story of a group of out-of-touch aristocrats who shut themselves inside their flamboyant prince’s castle in order to escape the ravenous plague destroying their country. As they ignore the world’s external struggles, internal struggle ensues.
